Isolation or lone wolf?

Sometime in my days, I wonder about the question about loner. For me, I really enjoy being alone sometime, be it sitting alone in a coffee cafe, roaming shopping complex by myself, eating fast food with me. So I wonder, is it possible for someone to live alone? I mean, if I am capable to help myself do I really wanted to get involve in other people's live?

Every now and then I get the feeling that I am not allowing other people to enter my life. I really seldom actively contact my friend. Maybe is the saying "君子之交淡如水". I hope my friend wont consider me as arrogant. But friendship will be washed away by time.

To all my friend, I really wish you guys well, and hopefully you can see this blog and think about me, as you will always be remembered.

TGS '07: Metal Gear Solid 4

A new teaser trailer for the MGS4 is out to tease me into buying the PS3. I will at least wait for the MGS4 officially out then only consider about buying a PS3 to play it. The high tech piece of electronic is currently sold at RM1750(singapore version).

Anyway back to MGS4. This version of Metal Gear will focus with the ending of Solid Snake. It will wrap up all the loose end that MGS fan has been asking. The teaser is really stunning, i can imagine when i play the game it will be like an interactive movie. Actually thats what i like about game, you actually involve in the "movie".

Take a look at the trailer from youtube.

The last MGS game I have played is MGS3: Snake Eater. I love the story, it is about patriotism. The story define patriotism really well, and show us how ugly politics can be. Patriot that sacrifice for their country with not only their life, but they sacrifice their honor as well. That is patriot.

Some people die to retain honor, Some people live and throw away honor.
Can you throw both away for your country?

We will know the answer in MGS4.

Final Fantasy 7. 10th Anniversary Limited edition PSP

Working in the company, under a lot of pressure, rushing to meet schedule, it is then when i receive a phone call from my friend in MarioNet. Ah-Hooi, in the phone, tell me the Final Fantasy 7. 10th Anniversary Limited edition PSP is in stock, and if i buy it with a 4GB high speed memory stick will cost me 1500 green paper. It was kinda shock when i first hear it. The price is steep, as the bundle are sold in japan at a recommended retail price of 25890, about RM790. Most online shop including play-asia are selling at 399USD, about RM1400. I am in doubt about buying it, as the normal PSP slim will cost around RM750. But considering that I have to get a new battery due to my old battery are dying off, and 1 battery will be RM189. And the new PSP slim has so much more feature, so i decided to buy it.

The bundle include 1 silver PSP slim&lite, 1 FF7:crisis core UMD, and 1 miniature buster sword accessory.

The Silver PSP have special FF7 logo and serial number printed at the back.

The Crisis Core UMD casing have limited Poster at its casing.

The buster sword are actually a pendent that can be attached with the PSP.

Pictures said a thousand words.

Law of the Garbage Truck

Today i saw a really meaningful article about how one look at life

LAW OF THE GARBAGE TRUCK - Let the garbage go by.

By David J. Pollay

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive employee ruin your day? Unless you're the Terminator, for an instant you're probably set back on your heels.

However, the mark of a successful person is how quickly she can get back her focus on what's important.

Sixteen years ago I learned this lesson. I learned it in the back of a
New York City taxi cab. Here's what happened.

I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when all of a sudden, and I mean without warning, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded and missed the other car's back end by just inches.

Here's what happened next. The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us. How do I know? Ask any New Yorker, some words in
New York come with a special face.

Now, here's what blew me away. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was friendly. So, I said, "Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!" And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now call, "The Law of the Garbage Truck."

Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. And if you let them, they'll dump it on you.

When someone wants to dump on you, don't take it personally. You just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. You'll be happy you did. I guarantee it.

So this was it: The "Law of the Garbage Truck." I started thinking, how often do I let Garbage Trucks run right over me? And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the streets? It was that day I said, "I'm not going to do it anymore."

Well now "I see Garbage Trucks." I see the load they're carrying. I see them coming to drop it off.
And like my Taxi Driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.

One of my favorite Football players of all time, Walter Payton, did this every day on the football field. He would jump up as quickly as he hit the ground after being tackled. He never dwelled on a hit. Payton was ready to make the next play his best. Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting. Good parents know that they have to welcome their children home from school with hugs and kisses.

Leaders and parents know that they have to be fully present, and at their best for the people they care about.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let Garbage Trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?

Here's my bet. You'll be happier. I guarantee it.
